Mark is the acute and ambulance partner member at NHS Kent and Medway.
Mark Orchard joined Medway NHS Foundation Trust as Chief Executive in October 2026, bringing more than 17 years of Board level experience across some of the NHS's most complex organisations.
Mark's career spans hospital and community services, physical and mental health commissioning, and system oversight, alongside national leadership roles, including serving as President of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Before joining Medway, Mark served for seven years as Group Deputy Chief Executive at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust and Isle of Wight NHS Trust, where he helped strengthen services, led major estate developments, and enhanced collaboration between the two trusts.
