What we do

We plan and commission NHS services, following national guidance, to make sure they are safe and cost-effective.

These NHS services include GP practices, dentists, optometrists (collectively known as primary care) along with NHS hospital and mental health services.

We are funded with public money and have strict processes in place to make sure this money is spent properly.

This section includes details on the governance we follow, our accountability and transparency.

It also includes information on how we work to keep people safe and encourage diversity, along with our latest news.

Making sure people have access to appropriate help and support is important and this section also contains the criteria for certain procedures, treatments and medicine.
