We are responsible for planning and commissioning health services for around two million people across Kent and Medway.
We commission primary care, community, mental health, hospital, urgent and emergency, maternity and women's health services, working with partners to improve health outcomes, reduce health inequalities and deliver high-quality care.
We are funded with public money and have robust processes in place to make sure this money is spent properly.
Our Commissioning Intentions set out how we will improve health outcomes for local people and make the best use of NHS resources. Underpinned by our four layers of care model, they describe how we will shift towards prevention, neighbourhood health and more joined-up services, while ensuring specialist hospital care is available for those who need it most.
