My thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones, those who have been injured, and the wider community who are living with the shock and grief of such a devastating attack, perpetuated on the most holy days in the year for our Jewish communities.
Violence and terror do not solve anything. They do not resolve differences or increase understanding; they cause further harm and division. What truly makes us stronger is kindness, care, and unity. Here in Kent and Medway, we are proud of our diverse and vibrant communities, and we stand with each and every one of them.
In the NHS one of our critical roles is to care for people at their most vulnerable. In times like this, it reminds us of the importance of compassion and of looking after one another. We will continue to do all we can to support our communities, and to show that care and solidarity are always stronger than hate.
