Do you want to make a difference to health and care services in Kent and Medway? Join the people and communities advisory group for NHS Kent and Medway

Do you want to make a difference to health and care services in Kent and Medway? Do you want to ensure diverse voices are heard in key decisions that affect our communities?  

We are seeking community champions  and people with lived experience  to join our independent advisory panel, Community Health Voices, that will help shape how the NHS listens to and learns  from people across Kent and Medway.  

Community Health Voices was set up in October 2025 with 13 committed community advocates. Join them to make a difference and spread the involvement wider.  

We are looking for  

  • people with different life experiences and diverse experiences of health and care services  including mental health services  
  • people with neurodiversity  
  • young people  
  • family carers  
  • representatives of diverse communities and global majority communities  
  • community advocates.

What we need from you

  • a commitment to making a difference
  • a strong understanding of your community and wider networks
  • an ability to look at information gathered from different people,  patients  and communities
  • an open mind and a passion for inclusion
  • to attend around six three-hour meetings a year with at least two per year in-person meetings involve reading papers beforehand.

All travel expenses will be  reimbursed  and we  provide a small recognition for volunteers  who take part in the group.
