Adam Doyle has today (Wednesday, 15 October) started in post as NHS Kent and Medway's chief executive.
Adam, who joins the integrated care board from NHS Sussex, where he was also chief executive has extensive experience at a senior leadership level.
Adam previously served as chief executive for NHS Merton Clinical Commissioning Group and as director of community services and private care at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. Over the past nine years, he has been instrumental in leading Sussex to become a more integrated system.
Beginning his career as a physiotherapist, Adam also contributed to national healthcare strategy as national director for system development at NHS England for two years.
He is delighted to be in Kent and Medway and is looking forward to his new role.
Adam said: “I am looking forward to leading the NHS in Kent and Medway, working with staff across the NHS and in partnership with our partners to commission and deliver the best possible healthcare for our communities.
“I chose Kent and Medway because of the opportunities it offers to develop and transform services, supporting delivery of the national 10-year health plan, and particularly the focus on delivering health as locally as possible.
“I am excited about we can achieve during my time here.''
