18 September 2025

More than 85 attendees joined NHS Kent and Medway’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) online on Wednesday, 17 September, to hear how the integrated care board (ICB) is shaping the future of health and care across the region.

Opened by Chair Cedi Frederick, the meeting started with reflections on the organisation’s achievements and challenges over the past year.

Chief Executive Paul Bentley presented progress against five strategic objectives, including collaborative planning, reducing health inequalities, and building a sustainable workforce.

Attendees heard updates on finance and quality, safety, and patient experience.

A key highlight of the AGM was the presentation on neighbourhood health and the NHS 10-Year Plan for England. The session outlined how integrated teams and community-based care will underpin a shift from hospital-centric models to prevention-focused services in Kent and Medway.

The meeting concluded with a public Q&A session.
