NHS Kent and Medway has awarded the Kent Children and Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Therapeutic Alliance contract to Salus.
Salus, a social enterprise organisation based in Kent, will be delivering the therapeutic alliance contract with a range of local partners.*
The therapeutic alliance will offer a range of evidence-based, effective and innovative support and interventions for children and young people in Kent with moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing needs.
This will include:
- cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
- creative therapies such as cooking, gardening, outward bound, arts, craft, drama, ecotherapy, music
- mentoring
- peer support sessions.
Support and interventions from the Therapeutic Alliance will be provided in-person, via telephone or virtually.
NHS Kent and Medway’s Chief Strategy and Partnerships Officer and interim Chief Delivery Officer Ed Waller said: “The new therapeutic alliance supports the vision to offer a broad range of services to support children and young people with their mental health, providing clear access to help with emotional wellbeing in their communities.
“We look forward to working with Salus and are confident the therapeutic alliance will provide consistent support for children and young people across Kent.”
