Get involved in health research

31 January 2024

Social Enterprise Kent CIC is running an event for those interested in joining the newly launched Community Research Engagement Network (CREN).

The event will take place at the Historic Chatham Dockyard on Monday, 18 March, from 9am to 12.30pm.

CREN aims to increase participation in health research by local people. Four area-based health alliances will work with key voices from local communities to be trained and supported in research skills.

The network will:

•    offer a space for research advocates to engage with academics and researchers
•    identify opportunities to engage in research
•    hold discussions on the barriers preventing wider participation in research and make sure that they are hearing from diverse voices when looking at research for health purposes
•    support active engagement and participation in surveys and other research tools including clinical trials.

During the session, guest speakers will discuss current research projects and how to get involved. There will also be an opportunity to identify any barriers to research, as well as wider networking and discussions.

Book your place on the Social Enterprise Kent website.

If you are unable to attend in person, please email to ask to receive an online invitation.
