NHS Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group is planning the future of Orchard House Surgery in Lydd.
Orchard House Surgery in Lydd is currently managed by a group of GPs, who have made the decision to stop providing services there after 30 April 2021.
It is the CCG’s priority to make sure that all patients who are registered at Orchard House Surgery can continue to access a full range of GP services at the surgery after this date. This is a priority requirement for selecting a new provider.
We are talking to patients, local stakeholders, and Healthwatch Kent about how the surgery should be run from 1 May 2021.
Until then, patients can access GP services as usual.

Have your Say
On 17 February we held two online meetings chaired by our Patient and Public Involvement lay member Cathy Finnis and attended by Bill Millar Director of Primary Care for the Kent and Medway CCG, who listened to patients and local councillors tell us what is important to them to see retained and improved at their GP practice. Read the report on these discussions.
Our thanks to the 49 people who joined us and gave their views, the CCG has promised to return in the autumn and meet with patients again to ensure they are happy with the progress made.
The CCG also ran an online survey, 1,315 people responded 34 per cent of the patient population, who shared a wealth of ideas, and their experiences of the current service and their hopes for the future. Read a copy of the report from the survey.
These two reports and all the feedback received via email and mail contributed to the proposal for the future provision of GP services at Orchard House Surgery which is going to the CCG’s Primary Care Commissioning Committee (PCCC), at its meeting on 18 March 2021.
Patients will receive a letter after the meeting on 18 March explaining the outcome and what action, if any, needs to be taken. If you have any questions about the engagement on the future of Orchard house services, please email kmccg.engage@nhs.net.
