Together with Kent County Council (KCC) we are asking for views on our special educational needs and disabilities strategy.
There are five priorities for action to make sure that children and their families are supported to live their best life and is an important part of the improvement work we are doing with KCC, following an inspection of services carried out by OFSTED and CQC in 2019.
It has been shaped by the involvement and feedback given to us by children and young people, parents and carers, Kent Parents and Carers Together. Kent PACT is a forum for parents of children and young people with disabilities and additional needs.
Before the strategy is finalised we are carrying out a consultation to make sure everyone can have their say.
You can tell us what you think about the strategy by visiting the KCC website. The consultation is open from Wednesday 2 December and will remain open until midnight, Thursday 4 February.
Please also encourage colleagues, families you work with and your contacts from external organisations to share their views on the strategy.
